I just got a dvi to hdmi adapter for my pc I have no other way to display it than that adapter. I've been told it's a resolution problem but as I can't get into the pc, I can't change it. What should I do

Its connected to the mobo I think there is no graphics card and the tv is a 32" Sanyo brand tv. It goes from the computer to the Dvi d adapter to the hdmi cord to the tv

Agree with Hlsgsz.

Plus you must also be sure that you have selected the correct HDMI port via the TV's menu. And you may need to change other settings as well.

Do you have the User Guide/Manual?

You did not mention the Sanyo model per se but I found this photograph of a 32" Sanyo TV:

And sometimes adapters are just a "physical fit" to the connectors and cables. May not pass along the proper/expected signals.....

I should have been more clear with my answer Im 100% sure theres no graphics card. Im 100% sure the TV is on the right input. Interestingly enough when I plug the hdmi into my xbox 1's passthrough hdmi input (i think it was designed for cable boxes but I tried it anywase). anywase it detects the pc for a few seconds then it disappears.
