Hi! My friend gave me a new HDD and I want to transfer my Windows 10 with apps and files to that new drive without losing any data or apps from my old HDD. Suppose that OLD HDD ---> NEW HDD. Please recommend a good program/software for it with complete details. It's ok for me to wait for hours just to transfer the files. Thank you in advance!

Solution
Assuming no other issues, the clone thing will work.

Install Macrium Reflect
Power off
Connect the new drive
Power up
Run the Macrium application
Do what it says regarding 'cloning', reading carefully
Once it is complete, power off
Disconnect the old drive
Connect the new drive into the same SATA port the old one was in
Power up and see if it boots properly

Assuming it does, success.
Verify operation.
Maybe restart a couple of times, just to be sure it will boot from only the new SSD

Later, once you are satisfied, reconnect the old drive
Wipe it and use as desired.

1. What size is the new drive?
2. How much total used space is on the current C drive or partition.

Assuming 1 is larger than 2, Macrium Reflect does this easily.
There are a few other steps, but yes, this can be done.

1.New HDD has 500Gb space (empty)
2.My old HDD has 160Gb space
-1 partition only (C:)
-about 83gb used
-about 66gb free space
