Hi all,
Yesterday i bought a new gigabyte gtx 1070 g1 gaming. But i didn't upgrade my current PSU - corsair cx500. Therefor, now i am worry about that this psu is not good enough and it will destroy my vga and other components. I alway play heavy games as gta5, witcher 3.
So, should i upgrade my psu?
My rig:
Msi b150 mortar
I5 6500
8gb ddr4 2133
Gigabyte gtx 1070 g1 gaming
Samsung 850 evo 120gb
Wd blue 1tb
Cooler: deepcool gammax 400
Corsair cx500

Solution
the 1070 uses 150 to 200W max, if not OC you will be good to go. I would recommend upgrading if you want to OC or to add more components.

Thank you for your answers.
I see that gigabyte gtx 1070 g1 has three modes: OC mode, Gaming mode and Eco mode. Is my psu enough if i run in OC mode?
An other question is, as far as i know, corsair cx 500 is a tier 4 psu. So i think the quality is bad. So i am very worry.

use Corsair tool to identify true load on the PSU when in OC mode under stress test it wont hurt anything for that. other then the PSU wont be efficient and probably fan going crazy you should be fine but test the true load first then you will see. I dont like to go with a quiet (NO fan on) option and stay with most efficient curve for my PSU but i do tend to overkill my builds.

interesting it looks like the PSU is not supporting iLink sorry for that... the second easy way to test the draw of the system is to get one of the plug wattage test units take a look at the link.
