Failed boot after cpu upgrade

Ok so I had a e5300 pentium dual core lying around. So I slapped it into my hp 2007 pavillion desktop booted it up just fine until I restarted the pc to reinstall my gpu. It NEVER brought up windows it just sat at the windows logo without the spinning icon. I went to the bios reset it. Then windows went into boot repair, that failed and trying to get into my recovery USB was a failure too.

I'm really stumped can someone help me!

hp didn't say, but I have seen forums on the internet using this processor with the mobo I have (asus ipibl-lb), and I have scoured the internet for an update but couldn't find one windows would allow me to use.
