Looking for a fast laptop that will last me quite a few years. I'll be doing school work on it so need a bit larger storage. I plan on using it as a gaming laptop as well. Games- CSGO, Rust, LOL, Planetside 2. Dont need max graphics but that would be nice. Max Budget is $1200 and must have either m.2 or ssd ( need them fast boot up times)

Solution
The most expensive model of the Lenovo Ideapad Y700 is the best one I could find.
http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y700-series/y700-15-inch/

It comes in at about $1200, has an i7 6700HQ processor, nVidia GeForce 960M graphics that can handle all the games you list, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage along with a 512GB PCIe SSD, it comes with WiFi and Bluetooth, and its thin. Thats basically everything you needed at your exact budget.

Good luck!

EDIT: Looking at the photos, its not exactly as thin as it appears, but thats a minor problem. I could find one cheaper if you want.

I was unsure if this would be an alternative, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01578ZKPO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
I would then install this ssd
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TGIVZTW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AHG2MI785YUY7

I'm just unsure if this is stronger or thinner.

Well, even with the upgrade, that laptop won't be as good as my first option, storage wise, at least. With the upgrade you have a 256GB M.2 drive, whereas the one I suggested has a 512GB one.

The ASUS is thinner, but the Lenovo is better in storage, otherwise they're completely the same.

It's your choice on which one to buy, which do you like more?
