GTX 1080 or 1070 for 144hz at 1080p

Hi,
I'm currently building a new gaming PC and wondering if its worth getting a 1080 over a 1070 for 1080p gaming on a 144hz monitor. All input is appreciated.

It depends on the games you want to play and run. 144hz is absolutely butter smooth for amazing gaming experience, but it's not a guarantee for even GTX 1070. I will recommend GTX 1080 to make it run like that in many more games. It's just $200 difference.
