Hi everyone,

First time builder here. I just wanted to come to you guys with some general questions I have on my build and feedback etc.

I'm not a complete noob to building, I have general knowledge and have watched plenty and helped plenty of people on their builds, but this will be my first time doing it myself from start to finish. So far these are the components I have picked out.

CPU: Intel i5 6600k
GPU: Msi GTX 1070
RAM: 16 GB Ripjaws
Motherboard: ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming
Case: InWin 303 Mid Tower
PSU: EVGA 650w 80+ Gold
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 213 EVO
Storage: 2TB Hitachi HDD
240 GB Kingston SSD

I have yet to pick out any additional fans. My questions are pretty basic..

Does my system seem stable?

Will I need additional fans other than the cooler being that the case came with none?

Any other input or thoughts.

Thanks so much for your time!

Got the correct RAM. This is a EVGA 210-GQ-0651-V1

Yay or nay? I actually have most of the parts but not the PSU yet, If no, what's a similar priced replacement? Do you think my system will run cool enough? Or are case fans a must? Thanks again.

The GQ is ok. I don't have a lot of experience with it, but it is made by a company that mostly produces mediocre to average stuff so it's definitely not bad. It would be fine. It's at a decent price right now.

That is an odd case as far as fans go. It seems to promote bottom to top airflow as opposed to the usual front to rear which is perfectly fine. I couldn't tell how many fans come with it. I think 4 fans is the magic number. Two bottom intake and either one top and exhaust or two top exhaust.

It actually did not come with any fans... Would a couple corsair 120's do the trick?

Also, a few other things

The case does not have, nor did I buy an optical drive. I know you can get windows 10 by usb, is it pretty much plug and play?

Also, what kind of things should I expect when I first power it on? Everyone tells me to get to the BIOS but to be completely noob honest here. I have no idea what that is or what to do when im there. Thank you guys so much for your quick responses.

Awesome, thanks for the input man! Lastly, Being that my case does not have an optical drive I will need to purchase Windows via USB correct? And what kind of things should I expect when I first power on the computer...I hear people say I need to look at the BIOS, but to be completely honest I have no idea what BIOS is or what to do when I am at that screen etc.
