I am trying to connect to a webcam and a NAS from outside my LAN.
I've got 3 ASUS RT-AC66U as my main router and two APs.
The network setup is from Modem->Router->16port switch->two APs & some wall jacks->various devices.
My ISP requires to use PPPoE for static IP which is on my router.
All devices are running DHCP, and the Router using DHCP sever(reserve) to keep local IP always the same.
Here's the steps I do for port forwarding:
WAN->Virtual sever->enable port forwarding and enter what ports I would like to open
I use mac osx Network Utility tool->Scan port->Enter my public IP and specify port range to speed up the process, it says the port I forward are opened.
And from the browser, I do http://***.***.***.*: port number or ftp://***.***.***.*: port number
it just doesn't work
But when I use http default port 80 and ftp default 21, both work fine.
Does anyone know what I need to do with this?? thx
