Hi, so recently my PC has gotten slower, boot times are slow and in-game performance is starting to decrease, right now I am deciding what I should do with my rig, either buying a EVGA 1070 SC or completely replacing my rig. The only reason I am considering replacing is because boot times are so slow, the pc will take about 3 minutes to get to my desktop and then its about 5 minutes until it is fast and functional, I dont know why it is like this considering I have a 1TB SSD with everything on it, any help is appreciated, thanks.

PC Specs:
Intel i7 4770k
EVGA GTX 770
1TB San Disk SSD
Asus Z87 Exepert
32gb Cosair Vengeance Ram (DDR3 I believe)

Hello... 1) type Msconfig and "services" tab check box "hide all Microsoft services"... post that img for me
2) "startup" tab... post that img for me

These are your Boot/startup Windows items... Some of these items are required (drivers)... and some of the others are Obtrusive and not needed at "boot time" and can be opened latter... you only have so much processing power do YOU want to use it or let these APPs take it from you when ever they want to?

3) Windows explorer-all programs-Startup...post that img for me

Can I get to this tomorrow, I just went off my PC for the night.

Intel i7 4770k
EVGA GTX 770
1TB SanDisk SSD
Asus Z87
32gb RAM

This is no where close for being needed for total replacement.
The GPU could use some upgrade but GPU has no impact on boot time.

hmmm...3 minutes until Desktop on an SSD? decrease performance in games?
Something is really wrong here...but not from hardware...
I Think it is better not only to check for startup programs but also to check if you have viruses, malwares, etc. too.
Go for Windows fresh install if you have too. Format and clean everything first.

and...
As side work, monitor the temp of your processr. See if it is being downclocked due to temp issue.

Yeah, Bios time says like 4ish seconds but it takes at least 3 minutes to get to my desktop after I turn on my PC, also if I open a program it doesnt launch for like 3 minutes right when I get to my desktop, it takes at least 5 minutes for my pc to be functional after I get to my desktop. I have norton and I do quick scans every week and I dont have any viruses. My temps are also fine, CPU is liquid cooled.

Hello... THX for image's... if ya have WIN10 then the "startup" gets redirected for the Display... Startup is a actual Folder located C:\Users\?\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup ...Any APP in this Folder will get "started/booted" after the "Services/OS drivers" get loaded.

I would suggest first looking over this "Startup" list of items... Do you really need all of these items to self start at Boot? I have ONLY The LAN, USB3 and Audio drivers in mine. These Programs/APPs have installed themselves into your Windows Boot time and Process usage problem... delete them from "Startup" folder to stop them. B )

When you are Done with that, we can look at the "Services" and my suggestions there for you... OK ?

Yeah, I have nothing in C:\Users\Luke\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs what so ever, and my task manager is set to only important stuff, I have no idea why it takes so long.

Hello... in earlier versions of Windows you could delete items from there...
1) did you change remove any items so far? ... this maybe only done in Msconfig in win10 now?

I'm not clear on your current status, changes or results... please repost img of startup for me?
