Hi I just build a new skylake PC. i5 6500 and paired it with asus z170i mobo with a hyper X ram. It was successful build and I've been using it for a week around 10 days. Then one day I tried to boot and it powers on but no display, then after a couple of seconds maybe 10-15sec it will power off and power on again, I am stuck with this loop. So I decided to do a cmos reset and now the computer power's on continously but still no display won't POST, no beeps no display but all fans are running, cpu fan also running. So I tried to troubleshoot my computer remove ram and replaced it by a new one and tried different ram slots and still not working. So I proceed with the board and I bring it back to the local shop were I purchased the whole parts. and they suspect that the board is broken so they send the board to service center and to our surprise it is working flawlessly. So my nightmare begins I know that the CPU is the problem. We tried again to power up my unit with only cpu board and ram still won't display and DRAM_LED on the board is solid red.

My question is why my CPU died all of a sudden? My temps are very good I am using a corsair h60 to cool it down and full load temp are only reaching 40 degrees C.

Is it possible to repair a cpu? because the store where I bought the cpu did send it back to their supplier and ask for warranty so I am really pissed off because they don't want to replace it immediately because their reason is they want to further check what is the problem why my unit won't POST. But I am 100% sure it is not the ram since we tried a new ram out of the box. I am sure also that power supply is not a problem since we used another power supply that is working and I am not dumb enough to suspect that the power supply is the problem. That shop also trying to putt the blame on me since I am the one who assembled it and not them, I am really mad at how they answer. I think they are trying to avoid loss

Solution
Despite all the protection built in CPU, it's still possible to die. Doesn't necessarily mean that something else is wrong. Nobody can really fix or repair it. If it's dead, they'll have to replace it.
