Hello guys, I was planning to buy a new laptop, not for hardcore gamer , just for casual ,for play games like League of legends , Overwatch , dont want to play in Ultra . After searching a lot, I've shortlisted these two laptops:

I5 5200U, geforce 940m(2gb) and 8gb ram, hdd 1to + ssd 128gb

or

I7 4700mq, geforce 840m(2gb) and 8gb ram , hdd 1to + ssd 8gb

my config : I5-3210m, amd 7670m and 4gb ram, no ssd

Solution
The i5 3210M you currently have has slightly better single threaded performance than the i5 5200u.
The i5 5200u is ULV which is meant for longer battery life and less heat output.
i5 5200u = 15W TDP
i5 3210M = 35W TDP
i7 4700QM = 47W TDP
The i7 is clearly the better choice if you want to experience smooth stutter less gaming but as Kiril1512 stated the GPU is more important for gaming if you want to play at high or ultra settings.
Anyway the i5 3210M you have is probably working in single channel mode I suggest adding another 4 GB RAM to make it run in dual channel.

It this situation go for the I7 4700 cause it has 4 cores (i5 only have 2) and the gpu is almost the same... plus you have better ssd there.

You will benefit more with the I7 for sure in gaming but like the previous post, to play in confort you need at lest an 850/950/860/etc, to play confortable.

Yes, I suggest keeping it and upgrade the RAM.
The laptop will feel more responsive and there will be less stutter in games.
More RAM does help with games and multitasking
