I would like to build or buy a PC for both work and play. Most of my time is spent in Adobe Photoshop or Premier Pro CC. I am on the Creative Cloud so I keep these apps up to date. I have read so much over the past week about various components, especially video cards that I am about to go mad. Even Adobe is not weighing in on the topic. They keep a neutral position claiming " any graphics card with at least 2gig vram should be fine". I found this to be total bs. I have an AMD R9 380 black edition with 2gig vram and it is not supported by Premiere. I can only use software based rendering and cannot take advantage of my gpu. Granted it is in an older Cyberpower pc but still, their comment is not valid in my case.
The other big contraversy when it comes to Adobe is CPUs, AMD vs Intel. Once again Adobe stays neutral on the topic which to me is poor customer support. Anyone have REAL proof of one brand rules over the other in Adobe Premiere or Photoshop?
I don't have the budget to purchase one of the HP z workstations so I was hoping for a solution here. I am completely replacing the old pc I have with a new system that will allow me to get my work done on time so that I can play a little BF4 and Battlefront at night when the day is done. Any help would be most appreciated
