Need help for low speed on wireless network for PC

I am on 1 gbps fibre broadband and using a DLINK dual band to connect to the 5ghz. Everything seems fine but I feel the lag when browsing videos, playing games etc. so I ran speed test on OOKLA. The result, unsprisingly around 2mbps download speed and less than 1mbps upload speed. Using my phone and laptop connected to our wireless network, I got a result of more than 500mbps download speed. So the problem seems to be more likely on the PC itself.
I've done ipconfig /release /renew /flushdns, resetting router, updating windows but nothing helped.
I am on windows 10. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

No. It is a pc. The speed is normal when tested on 2.4ghz. But when I switched to 5ghz, it just becomes incredibly slow.

Wireless adapter - D-link DWA-192 AC1900 Wi-Fi USB 3.0
Wireless router - DIR-868L

I have uninstalled the adapter driver, reboot and reinstalled the latest driver. I only have one device with 5ghz so I couldn't really test if it works on other devices.

The speed on 5ghz is normal.

Thats crazy. The only thing that I can think is that its incompatible with your PC. Have you tried contacting D-Link and asking them what you can do?

One more thing though, did you test it with the laptop at the exact same location? 2.4ghz is much better at transmitting through walls and stuff. It can be that the 5ghz is being distorted by having to transmit through stuff.

Thanks. I guess I will check on the usb. Couple of times when I was on 2.4ghz, the adapter connection dropped with blinking light and connected to 5ghz itself after reconnected .The speed then back to around 800mbps download/upload. After a while it dropped connection again and the same thing repeated.
