Corsair H60 Compatibility

Solution

This cooler isn't specified as 2011v3 supported, but it does support it. Most 2011 sockets coolers are v3 compatible.

It's written in Corsair website that it only supports 2011 not 2011-v3.
To my knowledge those two sockets are different, am I wrong?

running a h80i on a 6800k and its the same style cooling and works fine
just wondering do you need the 6950x for a reason as a 6900k/5960x is much better for the money

It's a long time I consider buying a new cpu and just saw that the 6950x is one of the best cpu's out there.
I got the H60 as a gift and thought it's a great opportunity to finally upgrade my cpu.
And for the H80i, it's written in their website that it does support 2011v3 compared with the H60 that supports only 2011 based on the website.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll get that fixed. H60's product page should also say that it supports socket 2011-V3 to avoid confusion.

There are two different addresses for the same product and each one has a bit different tech specs:
http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h60-cpu-cooler
http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h60-high-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

Don't know if i'm missing something or that's a mistake.
