i just bought a AMD radeon r5 240 dell OEM card on ebay for dirt cheap to fit into my single slot low pro streaming PC.

it works stock just fine, but id like to know if I can open the bios in notepad or something to change the name of the card from the dell oem card to an aftermarket type one so that overclocking via amd overdrive is available!

is there a way to do this with the 384 shader oland xt chip?

specs are as follows (VIA GPUZ 1.9)

AMD Radeon(TM) R5 240
Oland
28nm
77mm^2

Tex fillrate 19.8 Gtexel/s

Thanks for any help!

To be perfectly honest the value of overclocking it simply isnt there, the performance difference would be unnoticeable at best and damaging at worst.

I would suggest that if you insist on doing so please try the CCC, AMD overdrive is quite easy and straight forward, please pay attention the the tempuratures when using the software.

Here is an easy article that explains how it works.

I have done a lot of overclocking via CCC and its unavailable for OEM cards.

I understand that the value of OCing this card isn't really there just like to tinker some times and the card was so cheap I wouldn't really care if I turned it into a brick haha.
