How to connect to wifi using lan adapter?

I have lately got a Wifi connection for my home & a LAN Adapter to! But how do I connect my PC (Windows 7) to Wifi?

Agree with above comments, and indeed USB is the easiest and often cheapest wireless adapter type.

Wireless is really most useful in a home setting for portable devices like phones and laptops that travel around the house.

For any uses in a single location (especially gaming or video streaming) whenever possible use Ethernet, next choice is AV1200 or higher powerline, last choice is wireless.
