Upgrading motherboard or new cpu?

Hello,

I am planning on buying an upgrade for my PC but I've not yet decided what to get. I am currently doubting between just upgrading my motherboard and gpu or a new cpu.

I currently own a FX-8320 but due to my crappy motherboard, I can not overclock it, so it's stuck on 3.5 GHZ.

Now my question is: Should I buy a new motherboard and an RX 480, or should I buy a new skylake/Broadwell-e cpu, or perhaps wait for the new AMD Zen architecture to come out?

Thanks in advance

Solution
I'd go with an i5 and an appropriate motherboard. If you go with Skylake, you'll also need to buy DDR4 RAM, but if you go with Haswell, you can reuse your current RAM. Either Haswell or Skylake would be a big upgrade from your 8320. Once you get the i5, mobo, and if necessary RAM, then you could save up for a GPU and SSD if you don't already have one. Bottom line, I'd try to sell the 8320 and mobo and get yourself a shiny new Intel setup.

I would just upgrade the GPU now since it can be moved to a new CPU/motherboard later when you can afford it. Going to Skylake will not only require CPU and mobo, but DDR4 and an OS if you don't have a retail version already. Also, Zen may be out by the time you're ready. The GPU will give immediate results, where as upgrading the CPU won't be as dramatic. Although overclocking would help somewhat, you would still be stuck with an end of life platform.
