The Logitech G430s I have are squeezing my head a little too much, so I'm looking for a new headset. I've looked at the Sennheiser Game One and Zero, the Logitech G633 and the SteelSeries Siberia 350. Reviews said that the Sennheiser headsets need an amp. Is that true? If it matters, I'm playing on a laptop. Would any of these headsets be a decent upgrade? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Solution
I own the Sennheiser G4ME ZEROs and I can say that they are hands down the most confortable headphones I have ever worn.
The Siberia 350s sound like a rebadge of the Siberia V2s with less comfortable cuishoning which I dislike while the Logitechs are overpriced for the quality they offer, which is still decent.

They sound great without an amp, but with one they sound even better.
A good choice is the Creative Sound Blaster E1 amp, which is probably the best budget amp on the market, offering great versatility and range among all headphones.
Goes for $49.98 on amazon atm.

While the HyperX Cloud IIs and Cloud Revolver are both great headsets for the money, the G4me Zeros outperform them by a mile, with good noise cancelling and great sound reproduction.

obviously....thats a $200 pair of headphones. you didnt exactly list a budget and you mentioned your previous pair was G430 which is like $40

^.^
Btw OP, the Logitech G633 and HyperX Cloud IIs would be a great upgrade from your current headset. Whatever suits what you're willing to spend.
Keep in mind though, with most of them the audio jacks are seperate for headphone and mic, so you will need two jacks.

Thanks for the input. My current headset had separate cables for mic and audio, so no problem there. Would the Game one or Zero be better? The One is cheaper, and if I understand it right, also open backed, so a better soundstage but let's more noise in? I play csgo, I assume these would be fine for listening for footsteps?

You are correct in saying that the G4me One has a larger sound stage, but it does not have the same cushions as the G4me Zeros, and do not feel as luxurious. :(
I play CS:GO and I'm supreme, I haven't noticed any problems with the G4me Zeros coming from a HyperX Cloud from last year, I can still hear footsteps very clearly, so its up to you whether you want the bigger soundstage or better comfort and noise cancelling.
For gaming, get the G4me Zeros, for listening to music and more casual use, get the G4me Ones.

Yea, the Game Zeros seem like a better choice, as I can hear noise from the TV a couple rooms away through my G430s sometimes, so an open backed headset would probably let too much noise in. Is an upgrade worth it, in your opinion?

Yeah, the G430s are a cheap budget headset, well worth if you ask me.
