I don't even necessarily want to use 4k but i'd like to be able to at least use 2k. Either way that is besides the point as I can't even seem to set this for 4k. What am i missing?

The TV is a hisense (crap brand i know but cheap on prime day) with two 4k HDMI ports in the back. I have my GTX 970 plugged into one of those HDMI ports and when i go into NVIDIA display panel it sees 1080p as the max res. I went into custom reso settings and managed to set it at 2k, however when i adjust the TVs input it still seems to be just displaying at 1080p.

I dont even see an option in the TV settings to adjust the resolution so i'm assuming it is just auto adjusting to whatever resolution the input is feeding it.

Help on this? Anyone?

Seems like people who gave reviews could get 4k working for them. I'm sorry but I don't have any idea about whats wrong. But maybe you should deal with the TV itself before worrying about connecting a PC

Thanks for the reply. It seems i can stream 4k via the apps, i just can't get the PC to output 4k even though it should be capable. I'm lost.
