I'm planning to build a gaming PC/workstation soon and was wondering if there are intel chips with quad channel memory support as well as integrated graphics. I plan to get a GTX 1080 but I want integrated graphics as a backup (and for long work sessions when I'd disconnect the graphics card to avoid distraction :D )

The options I was looking at were i7 5820k and 6700k. As it turns out 5820k doesn't have integrated graphics but has quad channel memory support whereas 6700k has integrated GPU but no quad channel support.

Can anyone provide some suggestions?

Solution
The combination you seek does not exist.

Any half-decent graphics card will be near-silent under low load conditions and there is no need to go about re-plugging cables, etc. just to avoid the "distraction".
Quad channel would absolutely have benefits over dual channel for integrated GPUs which are bandwidth starved, but generally, people who are spending $600+ on a platform don't mind throwing in a $50 video card that's going to be superior to what Intel offers, which I would bet is why they don't offer integrated GPUs on their HEDT platform.

Makes sense. Iris 6200 is the best iGPU but it hardly reaches the performance of a cheap discrete card.

However a backup iGPU is always good because discrete cards may go bad which would basically brick your PC while you want for repairs/replacements. I've experienced 2 discrete GPUs getting fried - a 8800GT back in the day and the latest was HD7770 last year that just stopped working one day. In both cases I could unplug the card, uninstall the Nvidia/AMD drivers and fall back on the iGPU to do coding, browse the internet, etc. Hence I'm a bit apprehensive of buying a CPU without integrated graphics.
