Hi i was curious if a Corsair RM650 would be able to safely support an i7 6700k and a MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X? I am not sure if i am going to be able to afford a new Power Supply and If my budget permits i was going to probably go with an EVGA SuperNOVA P2 850w. Would it be fine if powered by maybe A 750w PSU and would i be able to do a slight CPU overclock? Sorry for all the questions but I just want to make sure I get all the information i can before i make a purchase.

Well, that depends what other components are in your system... HDDs, SSDs, fans, blu-ray etc. but in general common setup of mobo+cpu+ram+gpu+ssd+hdd you have enought headroom for sensible OC, it even should still keep your power consumption below 350 or 400W (which should be around best effectivity spot for 650W PSU). Otoh if you have 8 HDDs, 2 high end PCIe SSDs, 3 blu-ray drives, water pump and 6 big fans.... well, you get my point ;-)

EDIT: i mean If i could overclock the 6700k with the GTX 1070 on my 650 watt Power Supply.

Ok i accidentally selected that as the answer but that did definitely help to clear everything up, I think that i will stay with my 650 watt PSU. I know this is off topic but does anyone know what tier my PSU is? I couldn't find the RM series in the tier list.

If its just RM the it is tier 3. If it is RMi then it is tier 1. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

I just upgrade to msi GTX 1070 gaming x and rm650i today
