Ok guys, so I have a bit of a long explanation here for my problem, but its been a very long problem so hopefully someone will stick with me and knows how to help out.

System specs
Mobo: gigabyte ga-p55a-ud4
CPU: Intel i5 750
Gpu: Radeon HD 5850
Ram: 1x crucial 1600mhz 8gb ddr3
Psu: Thermaltake toughpower xt 775w
HDD: 1tb 7200rpm (can't remember brand name, probably WD)

The problem begins;

I bought a low-mid spec gaming pc running unactivated windows 7, which seemed to function perfectly, I decided it would be a great idea to do an upgrade to windows 10 instead of a clean install and the install froze at 99%, I left it there for a little over 18 hours and nothing was happening, even the CPU and ram usage was at idle speeds, like absolutely nothing was happening, so I rebooted the pc, into a Windows repair screen that said I needed to reboot normally to finish the install, I tried doing this, just resetting the pc, and it booted up normally through the motherboard screen, the bios and boot loader, then as soon as is said 'loading operating system...', the monitor looses signal. I tried resetting it many, many times, using the windows 10 USB install media to boot, but even with the USB install media, the screen looses signal after about 2 minutes, i couldn't access diskpart to do a format.

After days of playing around with using the windows 10 USB install media, I finally got it to boot the command prompt in advanced startup repair settings and used diskpart to successfully clean, repartition and format the hard drive, mind you, I did this entirely without the screen, basically giving it about 30 seconds after each command to make sure it had been processed before entering the next, and left it for an hour and a half to format and hoped it had finished when I started entering commands for repatriation etc, when it was done I rebooted to a clean NTFS hard drive to install windows 10 on, which works flawlessly and the screen stays on the whole time.

The confusing period;
I use the computer for about 3-4 days, playing gta v, fallout 4, Metal gear solid 5 and call of duty black ops 2, so i know everything is working well, getting 60fps and gpu is staying at 65 degrees, 68c max, averaging about 80%-90% load, same with CPU and ram, good temps and load, even all system fan speeds seem good

The frustrating bit;
I woke up from a good night's sleep and turn my trusty pc on, having saved it from darkness I thought it would be an eternal friend, I was however proven wrong when it booted up, HDDs spinning and CPU running, but my monitor says no signal, I try a restart, boots with screen working to 'loading operating system...', display signal drops out.
I tried pulling the power cord for an hour or two before restarting, I tired re seating every card, component and cord in the pc, both with varying levels of success, sometimes it booted up past the 'loading operating system...' screen, to the windows 10 logo with the spinning white dots, then the screen would loose display signal again, twice I booted up all the way to where I enter my password, and I used Windows properly for about 40 seconds before the display signal disappeared again.
I tried pulling the power cord and taking out the CMOS battery for a while to do a hard reset and selected 'last good', when it prompted me to select a boot order, which booted me all the way up to Windows, but it all looked like I had no drivers installed for my GPU, so I uninstalled all the gpu drivers (16.2 crimson drivers), and installed the windows 10 64 bit 15.3(or something) drivers, which worked perfectly until my pc asked for a restart to complete the install, and when it powered back on I'm back to where I started..

Please help me computer gurus, the screen is still dying when I boot into USB install media and I don't want to have to do another clean install

I've tried a lot of times but the motherboard doesn't respond to the command, it just keeps on booting to the black screen after 'loading operating system' Edit: the same thing happens sometimes when I try to enter the boot menu, it just ignores the key presses and I need to reboot a few times mashing the key to actually get in.
If I do manage to get it into safe mode, will a program like Driver Talent or something similar fix the problem? Or will I need to manually install the correct drivers for all my hardware?

I flashed the bios with the newest one from gigabytes site for that model mobo and had no change.
I finally got the screen to stay on long enough to select start up recovery, which I left running for a while because my screen died again, when I rebooted it turned on normally and I used that driver clean up program, it asked me to boot into safe mode, so I did that, then when it came into safe mode it took all the drivers off and restarted the pc, now the screen is still turning black at loading os
