I recently built a pc. I have an ssd and a hdd. My plans were to keep the ssd as the boot drive and not really add more to it. My computer thinks otherwise though and has downloaded the "Users" folder, the "downloads" folder and much more into the ssd. Is there any way to put these folders into my hdd to keep my boot drive clean. Thanks!

Solution

1. Do NOT move the /Users/ folder. Bad things will happen.

2. See this for managing drive space between the SSD and HDD:

Solution
To avoid most problems stemming from moved user folders you can make appropriate folders on another drive and point programs to save there.
For instance, I set Firefox and IE to save downloaded files to D:/Downloads, programs for manipulating graphics to D:/Pictures, Music to F:/Music and so on. During their installation, most programs let you choose which drive/partition to install them to with only small part going to C:.
Once you do that, they will always go to those places.
