Cooler For i7 6900k (stock)

Solution
Honestly, that cpu cooler would keep the 6900k cool. But, if your looking to overclock it, we might come across a temperature issue. Also what do you mostly use your PC for? Do you prefer air cooled over liquid cooled? If you like air cooled, I recommend the hyper 212 evo, the cryorig h7, and also check out be quiet! coolers.

Hello thanks for answers

Yes i meant i7-6900k, Broadwell-E -2011v3 one. And I prefer Air cooled. I have a big case and lots of fans already.

I won't be overclocking it (at least for some year i guess) and will use it for gaming mostly. So I' don't need it ice cold, but stable. Zalman says cnps11x Extreme can cool socket 2011 all speeds.. but i wanted to be sure.

Out of curiosity why buy a $1200 CPU for gaming when one that's 1/2 the cost will perform about the same?

Well, last time i bought a pc - my current one - the best i could afford was Phenom IIx4 965BE i am still using it to this day, which means like 8 and a half years i guess. So i said to myself , next time i will aim higher.. I usually play RPG games, buy them after a year or later on steam to get them cheap with all dlc/expansions/bugs fixed.. So i think this pc will keep me for like 10 years ;) It's also a kind of disease , trying to buy best electronics whenever you can...

Hello and thanks for answers again,

I am living in Turkey, and it seems Cryorig is not sold here. I've checked and found Noctua brand coolers although with rare availability. It seems DH-14 is not compatible to socket 2011v3 on its own, you have to buy some extra kit, and its been succeeded by DH-15.. It seems Zalman,Cooler Master, Corsair are more common.

Anyway, if it's not such a great risk, i will first see my old cooler's performance than order one of these you suggested. Because of the recent "fake coup" dollar price climbed up like mad, i am still waiting for Asus's Rampage V 10th edition to become available in my country, so i can take my time..

Honestly paying that much money for a CPU isn't going to ensure that your rig will be "future proof" because in PCs there really isn't such a thing. You could pay that much money but games will never use that many cores even for VR, and on Oculus and Vive the hex core 6850K performs about the same as the octo core 6900K. The thing about modern PCs that people don't tell you - and this is especially true for gaming rigs - is that once you spend over a certain price point ($3K) anything more you spend will result in rapidly diminishing returns on your investment, and your PC won't be worth half of what you paid for it when you go to sell it.

What store are you buying from? I can take a look and see what I can find.

Hello,

Now there is a state of emergency here.. ( which means we lost the very few human rights we have) So I couldn't write a fast reply sorry.

The sites i buy things are many and mostly turkish, Amazon hardly ever ships here and customs fee is too much / trouble not worth it. So I am stuck with Turkish sites. Still thank you very much even for the offer.

If you guys don't think that it's a great risk i want to start with CNPS11X-Extreme.
( if İt's not going to make it dangerously hot)
Then watch the temperature numbers when i'm gaming, encoding some video etc.. Then go for the brands you suggested. ( This will also gave me some time for market research)
what do you think?

Helo,

With cnps11X-extreme and ambient at nearly 28-30 C Celcius . System idles at 30-32 C. Playing diablo 3 or wow makes it 50 tops. I still haven't tried sth that makes all cpu cores %100 ( encoding, maybe this weekend) but still the highest temp i saw was 55 i guess. I think it's fine for summer :D
