I recently bought AMD FX-8370.

The processor I had before is Phenom X4 965.

My Current config:
AMD FX-8370.
Corsair H80i V2 Liquid Cooler.
ASUS M5A78LM - USB3
Graphics card - Nvidia GTX 650 Ti 1 GB
Power supply - Corsair 550W
RAM - ADATA 1600MHz 4gb x 4 = 16GB.

Now the problem I am facing is Whenever I start a game , the PC Freezes and only option is Restart. Plus PC is running slower than when it had Phenom X4 965 installed.

I tried Prime95 "blend" torture mode and in a few minutes PC crashed.

Solution I tried:
- In bios, I changed Memory Clock Speed to 1600MHz, and CPU/NB to 1600Mhz. But, as soon as I save and restart, a message comes while booting "Overclocking Failed" and everything goes to "Auto" settings again.

- I also disabled "Cool n' quite" mode, but still no solution...

Please, anyone, Help me with this.

Disabling disabled "Cool n' quiet" should make the issue worse, not better. No wonder you have issues; you use a motherboard that needs the stock cooler to prevent the VRM from overheating and it never was designed to support a power hungry CPU without having to throttle it at higher loads. It runs slower than the X4 965 because the VRM throttles it. Were you using a liquid cooler with the X4? Did you check the thermal margins and how they drop while running Prime95? If they drop all of a sudden, then the VRM is the issue (same if th thermal margins are fine and the frequency drops to 1.4 GHz.)

There was a "stability test" option in the software.

before I ran the test, I checked all the driver again. One driver was missing, which was "AMD SMBus".
After Update and restart, started the test and kept it running for 1 and a half hour. No freeze.

Started the game Just Cause 3 at maximum graphics settings, played for an hour.

Everything looks fine.
