Is there any "choose your pc components and benchmark them" type of website?

Solution
Look for benchmarks of your CPU, and then look for benchmarks of your GPU. The lower of those two will give you an decent approximation of your performance, assuming you're talking about gaming. To be honest, GPU tends to be the biggest factor in gaming as long as you have a decent CPU, so even just looking at GPU benchmarks could give you a rough idea.

Beyond that, be sure to get at least 8 GB of RAM. 16 GB wouldn't a bad idea either, depending on your budget. Most games don't tend to need more than 8 right now, but the price difference from 8 to 16 isn't that great and then you know you're set.
