Hello everyone,

I wanna start by mentioning that I'm new here on the website and on the forums in general, so this a total new experience for me and i also wanna apologize if my English isn't great enough! The reason why I've ended up here is because I'm desperate and i don't know what to do anymore, i really need your help and your opinions, please!

About 16days ago I've decided to upgrade and buy myself a new system by picking up the desired components that I've been looking up for some time. The problem was, after assembling the computer and installing Windows 10 on it and all the drivers up-to-date, ever since the beginning, from that very first moment, i would get random blue screens randomly with different causes, up to 6-7 times a day, if not more. In all these 16days I've tried re-installing Windows about 4times, and all the drivers and get them up to date with no changes at all whatsoever. I've browsed the internet desperately for any answers during this time with no luck at all..

Believe me when i say that i could barely play any games on it ever since I've bought it because of these blue screens.. and the time I've spent on it trying to realize what's going on and find anything out, has brought me to a point where close to give up. I repeat again, the only issues that I'm having are random blue screens, coming out of the blue, not just when playing a game, but at any given time, with different/random reasons.

Down below I'll post the computer specs the way i can, and I'll also provide you with any information that you require in order to help me resolve this "impossible" issue that I'm facing. Please, any information or help is highly welcome and appreciated!

Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Black Window
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K LGA1151
Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VIII EXTREME ( with OC PANEL ROG mounted )
RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 2x16GB | 32GB 3200MHz
GPU: NVIDIA "MSI" GeForce GTX 980 Ti "v1"
PSU: Corsair HXi Series HX1200i 1200W
Cooler CPU: Corsair Hydro Series H115i Extreme Performance
SSD: Intel 535 Series 240GB SATA-III 2.5 inch Generic Single Pack

Thank you again and I'm really sorry if I've misspelled any word or if I've posted this in the wrong section! Please help me, any information or tip will be appreciated!

Solution
I am not sure, I would make sure the BIOS has the boot priority to the USB device, I would put the USB device on a 2.x port directly connected to the motherboard. I would make sure the BIOS has support selected for legacy usb modes.
I would turn the machine all the way off, plug in the USB device and turn it on and try to boot.

there might be some other bios setting like fast boot that you might have to turn off also.

best to put the current memory dump from c:\windows\minidump directory on a cloud server like microsoft onedrive, share the file for public access and post a link. I can use the windows debugger and see why windows shutdown your computer with a bugcheck.

update the BIOS to a current version:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/MAXIMUS-VIII-EXTREME/HelpDesk_Download/
looks like basically you should update all of the motherboard drivers. They were all updated after windows 10 shipped.

i would also remove the very old 2010 USB driers and see if you can get a bugcheck again.
I think the bughceck will be related to the audio driver on the motherboard or maybe the old usb but I can not tell with a minidump.
you would have to turn on verifier flags and provide a kernel memory dump to know for sure. but see if you still have the problem after the updates.

-----------
third bugcheck was virtual memory corruption of memory used by the directx
the memory was corrupted when it was returned to the system. You can not say what corrupted it.
it could be something like a motherboard audio driver conflicting with a audio driver for a GPU card.

-----------
second bugcheck was also a bad memory address being passed but to directx
you might want to run memtest on its own boot image to confirm your memory timings in BIOS are correct.
-----------
just as a guess I would remove:
Silicone Labs USBXpress Development Kit
\SystemRoot\system32\drivers\SiLib.sys Thu Jul 15 15:08:26 2010
\SystemRoot\system32\drivers\SiUSBXp.sys Thu Jul 15 15:27:13 2010
----------

not sure about this driver/device
c:\Program Files (x86)\SAVITECH\SVLoadSense\SvThLSNS.sys Wed Dec 03 18:28:33 2014
check for a update if you know what it is for.

first bugcheck was a bad memory address passed the kernel
(you can not tell why from this memory dump, bios not overclocked, cpu not overclocked, no overclock driver installed)

machine info:
BIOS Version 0907
BIOS Release Date 10/01/2015

Hello and thank you for your response!

I've updated the BIOS to it's latest and it seems that it didn't do the trick, i still had a blue screen about 4minutes afterwards.

I've also removed the USB drivers that you mentioned above and still, no luck.

According to my machine, all the drivers are up-to-date ( to the latest available build ).

As for the two files you've said that i could try removing.. they don't work, apparently there is a program in use that's connected to them so i cannot delete them! The c:\Program Files (x86)\SAVITECH\SVLoadSense\SvThLSNS.sys Wed Dec 03 18:28:33 2014 i've removed this one also.

The only thing left for me to do now is a memtest86 over night with 8passes and see if it finds any errors.

Again, thank you very much for you assist and the help, really appreciate it! Hopefully i can get to the bottom of this. It's been really annoying..For example.. today, i had about 4-5blue screens in a 30minutes +- time interval.. that's just frustrating. It seems to really happen like completely randomly..

Also, looking forwards to anyone who've experienced something similar or seen something like this before.. any suggestion is appreciated, I'll follow any lead to just get rid of the problems that make it nearly impossible to use this new pc build..

you might try and boot into safe mode and remove them. I would also remove the software package from the driver store so they are not automatically re installed. use this method: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730875(v=ws.11).aspx

hello again,

after i've installed the latest bios driver, the memtest86 program doesn't work anymore. all i get when i try to boot from the USB stick is that it sends me to bios tweak section. reason why i'm saying that it doesn't not work, not anymore, is cause i've tried this before ( for like 30 minutes only ) and it would work just fine, but now it doesn't anymore. what should i do?

edit: i've also did what you asked me, to go on that link but i haven't done much. all i've been amazed to see is that there's many many oem versions of network adapters and a few panda security eoms ( which is my antivirus ). is that normal to have about 9-10 oems @Network Adapters? i'm confused.

these are a few other blue screens that i've experienced in the last 24hrs+

KERNEL_SYSTEM_CHECK_FAILURE
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
DRIVER_PORTION_MUST_BE_NON_PAGED
DRIVER_IEQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
BAD_OBJECT_HEADER
KERNEL_SYSTEM_CHECK_FAILURE
BAD_POOL_HEADER

i don't have the energy to fight this computer anymore..it's been 19days since I've bought it.. and these exaggerating blue screens that i keep getting ever since, made it impossible for me to play any games or do anything else on it..

hello,

I am sorry to get back to this thread after such a long period of time, but barely had any time on my hands. I came back to mention that i think i found where the problem is at. My Memory runs at 3200MHz while my CPU only supports memory with a maximum of 2133MHz.

I'll post down below my exact memory and CPU that i currently have.

RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 2x16GB | 32GB 3200MHz
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K LGA1151

I don't know if this is the issue or not, but with the complete mix and wide variety of blue screens i'm getting, then this might be it. I literally don't think there is one BSOD that i didn't get.. i think I've had them all happening.

Again i apologize for getting back to this thread so late but again, i will appreciate if anyone with the knowledge might look into it and see if the this is causing the instability.

Thank you very much.

EDIT: One quick question, could i damage my PC by running it like this?

All I can suggest is that you make sure you set your bios xmp profile and confirm memtest works.
- not likely to damage the hardware but if you do updates with a unstable system you can bad copies of new files.

i just mentioned above that i cannot run memtest anymore ever since i've done the bios update. it just doesn't work. I've even asked why and also for some guide on how to run it now.

Memtest runs outside of Windows on its own boot image. So when g oh say it does not run, it is not clear. No you mean it does not start up or does the test fail. You can Google how to run memtest and see instructions on making a CD or usb image to boot and run the test. If the test is failing you would adjust your memory timeings and retest.

what i mean with that is, like i've mentioned above, whenever i wanna boot from the USB stick it just returns me back to the bios interface. i've done this whole memtest before on this build but only for about 30 minutes and on the previous bios version. with this new one now, it does not seem to work anymore.

I am not sure, I would make sure the BIOS has the boot priority to the USB device, I would put the USB device on a 2.x port directly connected to the motherboard. I would make sure the BIOS has support selected for legacy usb modes.
