Hi Guys!

Hopefully you guys can help,

I have an MSI R9 270 and the fan speed is constantly set to max (or what i assume is max: 2700rpm) and as you can imagine, its quite noisy at idle.

I downloaded MSI afterburner and setup a custom fan curve to see if that would do the trick but it literally has no effect whatsoever. Though I may be missing something as its my first time using it but it seems to think the fans are at 24%

Anyone else had this issue? Or does anyone have an idea for me to try? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Below is what ive set. ive applied this fan curve but the rpm of the fan can be seen with the temp of the card on the left.

Thanks

I think there's some stuff about actually applying the setting in the regular interface (on the right). Not sure how it works with that skin though.

If it's not applied, it'll just show what the fan speed would be according to the fan curve you set in the properties.

Thanks for the reply!

Swapped to a different skin and saw what you mean, a quick youtube video was explaining about toggling "auto" button to update the curve but it didnt actually do anything on my machine.

also, quickly setup speedfan and tried adjusting the fans speed through that with no joy :-/
