Hello, so I just recently did a fresh instal of Windows 10 on my PC, and today I finally got everything re-downloaded. I turned my PC off for a while and when I turned it back on everything was working fine, but then after about 10 minutes I get a weird issue with my internet. It shows that I'm connected and have a connection. It even shows me online on steam and I can see people go online and offline. And the same for Skype, but on Skype, if i try to call someone, it just acts like i have no internet. This also goes for steam too. Same for my web browser, If i launch good chrome, Internet Explorer, or the Windows 10 Edge browser, they will all load up the default home page no issue. And on Chrome, i have it set to Google, I can even google things and get results! But as soon as I try to open a different page. It acts like i have no connection again. It will sit there ad load and load then finally it will give me the ERR_TIMED_OUT message.

IDK what is going on but I've tried doing multiple restarts and it doesn't fix it. Everything will work fine for those first 10 minutes then the same problem will re appear.

And to add to this, over the last couple of days while I left my computer on to download all my gams and programs back, I had zero issues. the issue popped up after i turned my pc off and back on when everything finally finished downloading...

And was everything you were downloading completely legal and legit?

This sounds like some type of virus because no hardware issue and no windows system error will allow you to have internet for a few minutes after turning on, and then all of sudden prevent it from working anymore until you restart.

I would first of all make sure I have the newest network driver, and download/run malwarebytes to scan for issues.

I'm trying to run a avg scan but it is just sitting at 0, it wont scan. And the internet partially works. Like i can see my steam friends and even message them back and forth. But the steam store wont load. Skype will not connect when trying to make a call. But i can message on there too. And no browser will load anything.

I downloaded the latest drivers 3 days ago when i installed windows. Straight from the motherboards website. Everything i have installed is from steam, origin, or the drivers from Asrocks website. Nothing from a shady place.

Okay, so now im starting to notice other programs just "hang" while trying perform something. For example i tried to troubleshoot my network and it just sat there, doing its little loading bar thing, look for a solution. But nothing would happen. And it wouldnt close. Same for the avg scan. It just sits there at 0 files scanned. And wont close.

I'm stsrting to think i have a bigger issue. But i cant think what would be causing this since everything was working just fine over the last 3 days as i installed drivers, games, and programs. Wasnt until today when i turned it back on after everything was officially downloaded and installed.

And i haven't got anything different. The reason for the fresh install is i got a new ssd and and was just wanting a clean install of everything between my drives.

So everything i have installed now, i had installed 4 days ago before i wiped my drives and did the fresh install. And had it all installed for quite some time too before hand. The only thing new is the Nvidia driver that just came out.

Actually, their is one other thing i can think of. I had to contact Microsoft because my windows was saying it need a valid product key a day after i installed it. Idk why. But Microsoft tech support fixed it, but they had me install a program to allow them to take control of my PC so they could go through it and do some things. And they ended up having to make me a new key which i have now and will use if i have to re install windows again to fix this issue.
