Hey everyone so this is my current mobo GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 and I don't know what I am doing wrong here but I just got some Bose companion 2 speakers and tried connecting them to all 5 of the ports in the back but I am not getting sound from them.... I connected the speakers to my monitor headphone out jack and they are working but every time my monitor comes back from sleeping they pop which is really annoying.

Not sure why my audio plugs in the back werent working right I have some software where it tells me if something plugs in but I can't do much to get the sound out of them. Any tips or troubleshooting advice would be appreciated :p

Honestly not sure.... @ work right now but still dont even know which is the correct line in to put the speaker into so yea. Will the speaker stop popping after the computer wakes up or is that a common thing among having speakers and a computer wakes up?

Thanks for the responses Blackbird, I finally figured it out and it's working flawlessly I guess I was just trying to rush it the first go around but everything is all good now and no pops now that I plugged it into the actual motherboard :p.

Not sure if you may know this or not but I am feeling like the bose speakers are a little base heavy... is there a way to change this?

Also not 100% on this but in the settings of my speakers they are set to 16bit 44100 hz (CD Quality) and there are Studio quality settings as well and goes up to 24 bit but I dont know enough to change this if it even matters.
