Not able to download graphics card driver onto local disk D

I cant download the drivers for my EVGA GTX 1070 onto my computer since it automatically downloads into local disk C.
When I initially downloaded the NVIDIA drivers, I chose them to be downloaded into disk D. The setup files and all are still in D but when the installation software runs, it tells me that I don't have enough space in drive C.
My SSD is partitioned into 2: Drive C which has Windows 7 64 bit installed in it and the other disk D where I want to install everything else including these drivers

I could be wrong but I think the drivers have to be installed on the same partition as the OS. Have you installed other drivers on the second partition? Just out of curiosity, why did you partition the SSD drive?

Drivers can't be installed on different disk. They usually go to the Windows folder, which is on C. I suggest expanding C, so that you can install drivers on it. Even software that you'd install on D, would have some of the files on C.

If your C drive is giving you issues installing Nvidia drivers its FAR too small. You have 2 problems here that can be solved at once. First your C drive needs to be larger, whetehr you expand the partition or get a bigger drive. Next that will solve your second problem. Drivers always need to be installed to C.

How big is this SSD, generally they are so small partitioning is a waste of time.
