Two days ago I was playing HITMAN™ on DirectX12. After playing for quite some time suddenly the game crashed. I use asus gpu tweak 2 for monitoring, so I opened it and found that gpu clock was suddenly capped to 540MHz. Gpu temparature was quite well, around 65C so I was sure it was not thermal throttling. I tried playing NFS and the fps was dipping in mid 30's where generally I get constant 55-60 in the settings I use. I opened gpu tweak and saw the same thing, core clock capped at 540MHz. The problem was solved when I re-installed the nvidia driver (the same version - 365.10).
Today, the same thing again happened. I was playing hitman in dx12, game crashed, gpu clock at 540Mhz. I again re-installed the driver and problem was solved like before.
Between these two crashes, I didn't play hitman at all. Yesterday I played nfs and quantum break for some lengthy period but didn't face any problem. So is this a problem with this particular game (hitman) or is it a common issue in this version of driver 365.10? Anyone else faced similar problems?
