a few days ago a hard drive went corrupt at a different computer at my house. I took it out so I can extract the data through a different computer with a functioning hard drive. i connected the hard drive to my computer and turned it on. the lights are on and the fans spin, yet there is no display \ light on my keyboard and mouse. i have disconnected the hard drive and tried again, yet same result. i already checked the cables and tried to connect to the monitor directly through the mobo, but the result remained the same.

specs:
gigabyte ga-h110m-a
msi gtx 950 gaming 2g
i5-6600k

i've assembled this computer less then 2 weeks ago, so i'm not sure if any drivers are outdated, and i do have the disks a recieved with the mobo and gpu

Solution
Many motherboards have a jumper on them to do it quickly, otherwise the other method is to unplug the power cord from the power supply and pull the battery from the motherboard for 5 minutes.
What motherboard do you have?
