So I've had my system for 6 months and never had a problem with it until now. I did my usual thing of shutting it down before going to work then staying over at my girlfriends house. I come home the day after and i can power it up as normal but then nothing, the damn thing won't post! No display and everything like fans and graphics run at max capacity.
I've tried everything. I've reseated the CPU and RAM, switched PCIe slots on the GPU, cleared CMOS, reconnected all the wires, tried booting with no drives or USB connected and still nothing. I've also noticed that I cant turn it off with the power button on my case or on my motherboard, just through the power supply. But then when i boot with no ram installed i can turn it off as normal?
Never come across this before so any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Here are the specs if it will help:
Intel core i7 5960X
Corsair H100i GTX cooler
MSI x99a sli plus motherboard
Gigabyte GTX 980ti OC edition
32gb Kingston hyperX memory 2666mhz
Corsair RM1000 PSU
HyperX predator 240GB m.2 SSD
1TB Samsung SSD
240GB Samsung SSD
2TB WD Black HDD
4TB WD Green HDD
My guess is there's something wrong with either my power supply or memory but i can't really afford to replace either right now so im just hoping there's something i can do.
