Hi,
I have 8 months old MSI H81M-P33 Military C4 MotherBoard. It was RMA's one month ago. Since after the RMA, every time PC is restarted BIOS is getting resetted.

  • After starting up it gives me options: F1 to setup and F2 to continue.
  • Problem isn't probably with the BIOS battery because the time/date doesn't reset. Rest of the settings do (like boot priority, VRAM allocation)
  • Also I think time it takes to show BIOS screen from power up has increased.
  • I can't even put PC into sleep (S3) because it doesn't wake up from the sleep as BIOS probably reset the RAM and PC gives me same option of F1, F2.
  • BIOS resets every time I shut down/restart/sleep the PC regardless of the power supply on/off.
  • there's no jumper on the JBAT1 port (which is used for BIOS reset)
  • I have no idea what malfunctioned for which I had to do the last RMA. I only know, the mobo didn't respond to power button, not even CPU fan spun.

Specs:
Intel G3240 proc
1x 8gb corsair vengence.
1x 160GB seagate HDD
2x FHD monitors. ;-))

So any idea guys?
