Will my Gtx 780 MSI run 1440p?

Hi I was wondering if my gtx 780 MSI would run 1440p games at medium to high settings.

Yes. My original 1440p gaming system had a GTX660Ti. You can run 1440p. You'll just have to find the appropriate settings for each game. Start by turning down shadow detail, then some lighting effects. You may still have to turn water a little lower than you want and lighted particles in the air are fps eaters. With a 780, you should be able to leave most of this on high, with a few on the next level, whatever it's called in the game.

Thanks for fast answer, I will stick with my gtx 780, but out of interest would a 980 or 980ti run 1440p at max settings?

They will come very close, but at that price point, I would spend less and get a non-FE 1070. Less money for more performance is always good.

They 1070 will run 1440p better than the 980Ti. It costs around $100 less here in the US.
