I recently bought a msi z97 gaming 5. So I put it in my comptuer and everything worked sort of. i installed the drivers and everything. it seems that my gpu isnt being recognised though. I tried to reinstall the drivers for it, but nothing worked. Its not the card i dont think because i was using it with another motherboard in my pc and it was working fine.

The card turns on and gives out a video signal but doensnt show up in any program that its connected and when i try to launch something it says directx 9 is missing when i have the newest version installed and i have reinstalled.

Also its struggling and lagging with simple tasks like going on google.

Motherboard msi z97 gaming 5
graphics card Msi r9 380 4g
cpu intel i5 4440
power supply rosewell bronze series (i think) i know it has 1000watts tho so power is covered
running windows 7

Solution
So try install the intel chipset driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility-?product=1145 but if you can't connect the intelnet, get the chipset driver from the DVD came with the MB.
And install the LAN driver too. Then check the the win7 update to see you need install something or not.

For the GPU driver, you will need use the DDU and onboard iGPU to uninstall the old GPU driver first in safe mode, shut down the PC, plug your GPU in, then reinstall the newer driver.
