Put everything together and mb didn't post, no beeping, no lights, no sign of life.
Things I've done to diagnose the problem:
I've taken everything out of the case, and am just plugging in parts individually now. These are all new parts, and this is my first build so I'm not too experienced with these things. However, my PSU came with a diagnostic tool (I think it just completes the circuit) to make sure it works. If I connect the 24 pin connector to it, and the power cable to the wall socket, the PSU powers on and the fan spins, so the PSU itself isn't dead. If I then plug in the hard drives and fans they spin, so the PSU and plugs seem to be fine. If I then take all those out, plug the 24 pin connector into the MB and the 8 pin connector into the CPU power slot, then turning on the PSU does nothing. The fan on the PSU does not turn on (which leads me to believe that the circuit isn't even complete) and the mobo doesn't react at all either (I have the onboard speaker that came with the mobo plugged into it).
