Hi guys I'm a novice when it comes to the fault finding on these computer systems but Iv tried a lot of suggested solutions thus far to know avail...

I'v recently built a system around a Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD7 / AMD PHENOM11 X6 1055T, 6 CORE / AMD RADEON 200 SERIES / PSU THERMALTAKE 650W BRONZE (NEW) / Seagate 2tb hybrid drive (new)
The system starts and operates as per normal however as it runs through the POST I get a continuous beep/buz from the mobo speaker and It displays ff on the mobo display.

iv tried a few things out like reseat mem, remove graphics card and wireless pci card to no success unfortunately.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as like I mentioned I'm out of practice and may as well be a novice I haven't done anything like this in over 10years...

Please help

Your backup Bios is there incase you have corrupted your current Bios. No need to fear doing this and it may resolve your issue. There is a slight risk whilst flashing a Bios like, if you have a sudden loss of power or stop the process yourself in the middle. The risk is low however unless you live in India where power goes down often or live in a high prone lightening area.

I can assure you the Qcode FF will not go away until the culprit is found.
No that's not normal German_Sausages and Qcode FF is a large flag to determine the fault.

If it continues and easy methods for identifying the culprit fail, You will have to benchtest the system outside your case.

With the system in bench mode and in minimalist state, Add one hardware component at a time until the culprit is found.

Unfortunately it can be one of many things. mb,cpu, psu or can be mb stand offs shorting.

hmmm no real success there either... all components removed (except cpu) and no luck... I did a cmos reset and system seamed to post ok... stopping at and asking me to use last known good settings... I selected ok and it restarted with previous setting the same happened again.... does this mean perhaps it is a bios setting causing said buzzing and ff???

Using the Last Best known Configuration is not going to solve it.
Clearing CMOS can sometimes help.
Best way is to observe your Qcodes as you progress from min config, restart and see if Qcode advances as you add another component.
You may have mismatched DIMMs or one DIMM failing, or PSU failing. It may be the CPU itself.
Is your Bios up to date.?
Where is the buzzing coming from.?
Keep it in benchmode till the problem is resolved.

how would I try the backup bios? iv seen the option to load failsafe bios but I was reluctant to do so incase I buggered it, which is the same reason I'm hesitant to flash the bios with limited knowledge on my end?
