I was wanting to know if i can overclock my Acer predator laptop. I know generally you shouldn't do this to laptops but the cooling system on the predators is pretty beefy and runs pretty cool under load.

Would be great to know if I could even if its only a small boost.

Cheers

I'll start with a disclaimer; I do not recommend this!
Keep an eye on temps at all times... there are software options you could look into that might allow for some clock adjustments but since I have not attempted such a feat, I won't try to recommend specific software.

Good luck

When my laptops under load in unigine Valley benchmark or cinebench the gpu got to a max of 58c with fans at beary half rpm and would go down 49c with fans at max rpm this was under load on a table top with ambient room temperature of 20. Are those temps very stable? Could overclocking be doable?

Further disclaimer... Heat is not the only concern here (although on a laptop it is a primary concern). There is the very real possibility of bricking the laptop by sending additional current through components not designed for it. I'll suggest working in baby steps and trying not to adjust voltages. Check stability and heat constantly.

IMO, the risk to the laptop and components isn't worth the slight increase in performance (just a personal thought) but my curiosity is peaked here so let me know how it goes (if you do decide to try it)
