Hey guys,
Since I've built my gaming rig, I have been thoroughly and religiously checking the idle temperatures for my CPU and GPU (purely out of curiosity) every week or so, utilizing a multitude of software (and the BIOS) However, I mainly used RealTemp and GPU-Z for the testing. Using the results, I have discovered that the idle temperatures for both my CPU AND GPU are abnormally low to the point where they are only one or two degrees higher than ambient temperatures. Abnormal as it is, even having the system on for a while doesn't seem to affect the temperatures at all. Now, I am aware that the components for my system are not exactly known for their producing heat: i6500 w/ GTX 950. I am however, aware that the temperatures (especially for the CPU) shouldn't be this low (I'll add later).
Here are the temperatures for the CPU and GPU respectively: CELCIUS
Weeks: i5 6500 GTX 950(avg)
1 18.5(c) 21.0(c)
2 13.7(c) 17.0(c)
3 14.5(c) 19.0(c)
[Averages between 4cores]
Now get ready for the big surprise! *Do an arnie impression*
I AM USING THE F***ING INTEL STOCK COOLER! What do you think of that?!
It's probably some sensor fault, not really sure . Either way, idle temperatures don't really matter, but I just thought i'd share it with you folk considering the circumstances as well as the fact that I only have 1 case fan, and use a case from the 90's
Thanks,
Anthony
