Depends what you have, a GTX 1070 it´s already a good 2k Graphic card, if you can afford go for a 1080. Now it comes as well what you have for processor, it could Bottleneck the GPU a new i5 6600k would mean new Memory new Motherboard, all this augment the costs. you need to give a budget.

Is a 1440p 60hz Monitor or 144hz ?

That´s bad, the FX-6350 would work with a GTX 1070, but it will bottleneck. you should save and upgrade the CPU/GPU, A i5 6600k with a GTX 1070 its ATM a really good choice, but if you can´t afford the i5 6600k (With all the new Mobo, ram) the i5 6500 or even i3 6100 are quite acceptable, (The motherboard is as well cheaper for the i5 6500 and i3 6100 because you don´t need chipset z170)

I would upgrade the the CPU/motherboard next to pave the way for a future graphics card upgrade. The AMD you have now is end of life and really no meaningful upgrades for it. Suggest the i5 6500 as above with a B150 motherboard and 8 GB's of DDR4 2133 as a cost effective upgrade which will support future upgrades and virtually any graphics card out now.

the problem is that the intel are very expensive, like the nvidia ones. that's why i only bought AMD

Well the problem with the AMD processors is that the latest release the FX 8370 is already 2 years Old, AMD really screwed with their processors and FX 8370 will probably bottleneck the GTX 1070 at intensive CPU games The cheapest i3 6100 perform very similar if better.

Thats actually a not so bad idea, You could indeed overcloock the Fx quite high grab the new RX 480 and Bam you got GTX 970 performance. And add another 8 GB DDR3 because its 2016 and 8 its not enough. You need to be sure you got a good Noctua Nh-d15 inside your case because boy it will get hot :lol:

Another thing to do is wait for the GTX 1060 or RX 480 thirdparty fans, soon some MSI gigabyte RX will come to kick the house. Although the GTX 1060 is coming to detonate the RX480 you should wait for it
