Huge FPS drops on 1070 suddenly? Drivers or?

I used to get 80+FPS on Hitman with all settings maxed, now I'm seeing about 55 with drops to 35-42 @ 1080P. I have updated the drivers, my prior one was 368.39, is it possible the drivers are just bad now? I'm getting the same FPS drops in GTA V. Are any other 1070 owners getting bad FPS drops with the newer drivers from Nvidia?

Everything to me seems to run worse, I'm in the process of trying to download the OLD 368.39 driver but Nvidia has clearly put it on a backup server as the time left is 2+ hours until downloaded.

I have low fpa in almost all games (well, lower than youtube gameplays) but as I only bought it couple of days ago and uodated drivers instantly, I can't tell if that's the issue, but now I'm starting to believe that maybe it is.. card is not giving me that amazing performance every lone talks about, and I'm playing only at 1080p/60hz.
It's almost the same performance as it was with my gtx 960, if not even worse in some situations and games.
