Is the Gigabyte G1 Z170X Gaming 7 a good board for air cooling?

Not planing on putting a radiator in as it's my first build and don't want to mess with it. I am going to have 5 fans in the case but as far as I can tell you can only hook maybe 3 up to a gaming 7. Is this correct? If so would I be better severed getting an Asus ROG motherboard? I liked the 7 is there some sort or splinter that will give you more connectors?

The equivalent Asus board would run about $50 more.

You can use a fan hb here... they come in various flavors

PWM to PWM... Swiftech offers the best known of these ... connect a PWM header to PWM cans
http://www.swiftech.com/8-WayPWMsplitter.aspx

DCV to DCV ... Modmytoys is the best known supplier here
http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g/c121/s424/list/p1/b214/ModMyToys-Fan_Accessories-Multi_Fan_Ports-Page1.html

PWM to DCV (or DCV to DCV) ... this one offers the best of best would in that it provides all the advantages of PWM (low speed control) without any of the disadvantages (Cost, low speed clicking / hum) when connected to PWM header. You can connect up to 11 DCV fans off a PWM headers with the provided power cable. You are limited to about 6 fans (max 1 amp total) of a DCV header (connecting the 12v power cable will eliminate any speed control).

We've put one in every system built in the last 2.5 years. I have 3 of them in my personal box running a total of 16 DCV fans.

Thanks for all the quick replies I went ahead and got 3 bigger fans but after reading the answers I'm gonna pick a hub up and add a couple more. Can never have enough fans! Also if anyone reads this the connector for the liquid cooler fan. Can you use that for a normal fan? Would that make it run all the time or something?
