Lately i have smelled something like burning technology, i didn't know what it was so i didn't do anything about it. Now my computer has shut of twice randomly so i removed my graphics card and am running on on board graphics without my gigabyte gtx 970. I no longer smell the burning technology what can i do about the graphics card?

Ok, well many people on the forum would say "there's your problem", the CX series are cheaply made. Personally I think they aren't too bad as long as you don't exceed 60% power usage, and with a GTX 970 I don't think you would be. Is there any way you can figure out where the burning smell is coming from (PSU, Motherboard or graphics card)?

You gotta go foward with it and figure out the problem bro. I'm the same way sometimes but i'll tell you what..... if you don't plug it back in and find out the problem... well.. you wont ever find out the problem and get a guaranteed solution. Just plug it back in. Or plug another graphics card in and do some tests. If your card is "fried" you would be seeing some visual deffects i would think so. I've never fried a card, only a SATA cable (was nearly hanging out from my drive and me being stupid i went to just push it in and blew it up.. literally, it shifted out of place).

Gotta do tests to find out the solutions. We're all scared for you bro.
