Hi all,
recently i build a new PC. But when i tried to install windows 7 i got the following message: "a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing".
i looked this up and i tried all solutions (as far as i know). changing usb ports, updating bios, installing sata drivers. eventually i gave up, and eventhough ppl didnt recommend it i started a W7 install on a laptop.
Then, in the installation process (when w7 installer restarts itself and then continues installing after restart) i swapped the ssd in my new pc and contued the installation.
Now, everything seems to be working just fine, key worked and everything.
I havent read or seen any thread where someone did the swap the same way as i did.
So my question is: is there a chance that this is gonna go horribly wrong? should i have used sysprep instead? or will W7 be working just fine as is?
These are my specs:
MSI b150 gaming m3
intel i5 6600k
intel 120gb ssd
16gb kingston ram 2666 mhz (clocked back to 2133mhz because of mobo)
MSI gtx1070 gaming x
Thanks in advance!
