I just reloaded Windows 7 because my older Acer laptop doesn't support Windows 10. I am running into an issue that I resolved a year ago and I need to find the posting (somewhere) for that fix. The issue is that the laptop randomly shuts off. No restart, just off. It is not a hardware issue, and while the fan is running fast the issue is not overheating per se, I recall that there is a file that gets full (maybe a log file?) somewhere - and the fix is to delete that file and let Windows recreate it upon reboot. Any help is appreciated!!
