Dead PSU or motherboard?

I recently build a PC and it worked fine for the first three weeks:

  • Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
MSI B150M MORTAR Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
    Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Corsair RMx 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
    MSI Radeon RX 480
Today, while playing a video game, the PC suddenly crashed (black screen).

When I looked inside my red LEDS were still turned on, and so was the power button, but evreything else was not moving (fans and stuff).

Pressing the power button did nothing. I restarted the PC (plug in and out the powercable) but nothing changed. The EZ debug led on my motherboard said there was something wrong with the CPU. I unplugged the power cable and I checked all cables and then I reseated the GPU and RAM.

When I turned it back on, nothing happened. This time my red LEDS and the power button were also turned off.

I thought my PSU might be dead. I removed the PSU from the case, removed all cables except the Molex cable that powers my red LEDS. I turned the PSU back on but nothing happened (no lights no fans). I wanted to try the Green Wire Test, but all my cables are black so I don't know which pins I should short circuit.

Black screen + the molex test would lead me to believe the PSU is dead. However, before the PSU stopped working the motherboard briefly showed a CPU problem.

I hope you guys can help me out.

Thank you, I bought some paperclips and tried it out. Seems like the PSU does work after all.

I double checked all cabeling and now evreything works again. I still don't know what caused the system to crash though. Feels like i am sitting on a ticking time bomb.

Moments after posting my system crashed again and I can't get it to post. The EZ debug LED indicates a fault with my CPU. It might be overheating but when I monitor temperatures it only reaches ~60 celcius under load (I use the stock cooler).
