HDD's Randomly Accessing

Just built a new system and Im having an issue where every 45 or 50 mins my slave HDDs will access on their own and open in windows explorer windows as if I had only just connected them.

Why would this be happening ? and how can I correct it?

Do they just open to the root of the drive or to some specific folder or file?

Look in the Windows logs via Event Viewer. Hopefully there will be some entries corresponding to the HDDs being accessed.

You could also set up and watch things via the disk tab in Resource Monitor. Hopefully after 45 - 50 minutes it will tell you what proccess started or other disk activity took place.

Run for a while and watch. Especially as you get close to the time of the event.
