About a year ago I bought power over ethernet adapters to connect to the router in my living room and then to my PC in my room as the wifi did not reach my room. It was fine and I was receiving 20-30 ping but just a few weeks ago my internet is randomly disconnecting and my ping has gone up to the mid 200's and even up to the 300's. Is the problem with the Powerline adapters or my internet or has it got something to do with something else. http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/TL-PA4010.html

Solution
Macanno, these are not PoE adapters. They are Powerline adapters. PoE is where power is supplied to routers across a Ethernet cable. These adapters send data across power lines. In most cases, a devices has been introduced to the power circuit somewhere near the adapters that are affecting the PL adapters. Could be a high drain device like a room air conditioner or heater or even a TV can sometimes cause issues. Look at your environment to see what was added/moved since the problem began appearing. Remove it or move it back to see if the problem persists. If it does, you might need to move the PL adapter to another circuit or plug in your home.

Solution
have the same ones. in certain spots they would become slow but generally did ok. I use these full time for one ip camera, my old spot it would disconnect every week or so. the new outlet has not done this ever.

I would try another spot and make sure you are not jumping across breakers if possible as this will affect performance.
